Ilan Vitemberg Memorial Program with Yair Qedar, Maya Arad, and Arthur Slepian

This event is held in memory of Ilan Vitemberg z”l, a beloved educator, performer, and puppeteer who presented numerous programs at the Jewish Community Library for both adults and children. Click here for a tribute page for Ilan on the Jewish LearningWorks website.

The program will include a screening of selections from renowned Israeli filmmaker Yair Qedar’s Gay Days. Qedar (joining via Zoom) will be in conversation with A Wider Bridge founder Arthur Slepian and bestselling Israeli novelist Maya Arad, exploring media as a window into Israeli society and culture, and the LGBTQ movement in both Israel and the Bay Area.
