Book Club Services

The Library’s convenient Book Club in a Box program provides Bay Area groups with free access to nearly 200 current and classic titles guaranteed to enrich conversations and deepen connections.

Groups can arrange to borrow sets of 12 books, accompanied by discussion questions, select reviews, and background material. With curated content ranging from fiction to memoir and nonfiction, encompassing authors writing in English and in translation from across the globe, we are pleased to support groups wanting a specific title or planning for an entire year’s worth of Jewish literature. Contact Leah Strauss, Reader Services Librarian, at or 415.567.3327 x706 to tell us how we can enhance your book group experience. Sign up for our email newsletter specifically addressing book group interests here.
