Reuven Fenton: Goyhood

(Fiction, 288 p. 2024)

Two estranged brothers from Georgia—one who has become a yeshiva student in Brooklyn and the other who has stayed close to home with a decidedly irreligious lifestyle—are brought together by an unsettling revelation about their identities and go on an unexpected road trip. This Jewish comedy of errors is part coming-of-age story, part absurd romp through the Southern United States, and part serious exploration of identity, lies, and the strength of brotherly love.
